How it Works
You need to turn the handle at a speed of about two revolutions per second to generate enough power to recharge your phone battery.
No need to turn at exactly two revolutions per second as a little faster or slower is fine... Note turning faster and faster will not charge your phone any quicker.
The manufacturer says that three minutes of charging will provide 'up to' 8 minutes of talk time and 'up to' 30 minutes of standby time.
I have found this difficult to confirm - However, if you charge your phone for a few minutes, you can then talk on it for at least double, maybe triple the charge time... or have it on standby for a considerably longer period.
It is also possible to charge your phone and talk on it at the same time. However, because charging requires two hands it takes a bit of juggling better to get someone to help while you talk or use a hands-free.
While charging and talking your phone will still charge as the rate of charging is greater than the power consumption used for the phone call.
If your phone battery completely gives up, charge up your phone for a couple of minutes before trying to make a call.
If you find yourself in an area with a rubbish signal it is best to continue charging for another minute or so before you make a call (your phone uses excess power when coverage is poor because it pumps out a stronger signal to compensate).
